SARAH Duchess of York looked simply gorgeous when she celebrated the best of British curry last night.
The 57-year-old wore a stunning blue sari to the British Curry Awards at The Battersea Evolution.
She was joined at the swanky bash by Lizzie Cundy, who also went down the traditional route in a stunning black sari that suited her dark locks and olive skintone perfectly.
Lizzie gave more than a glimpse of flesh thanks to a sultry sheer panel on the skirt, allowing her to tease a flash of leg.
The former WAG was there to present an award, and informed her Twitter fans with a “yum yum” tweet.
Also in attendance was eighties icon Pat Sharp, who opted for a smart dark suit.
Lizzie Cundy also looked to Asia for her fashion inspiration
Pat Sharp opted for a dark suit rather than an Indian-inspired outfit
The British Curry Awards were started in 2005, but not without drama.
Organisers were forced to defend the idea of a British curry as many purists were adamant that the dish was purely an Indian or Bangladeshi affair.
Last year, then PM David Cameron dubbed the awards “Britain’s curry Oscars”.
