Why should UK spice restaurants be part of this year’s event?
This is the Curry Industry event of the year offering great promotional opportunities to the winners. It’s also a chance to network with colleagues from around the UK, rub shoulders with industry leaders, movers and shakers, food critics, government representatives and celebrities, catch up on key industry issues and enjoy good food and entertainment and entry to the competitions is free!
Competition Entry
At least one genuine nomination is required for any restaurant to enter the competition.
Nominations will only be accepted when received directly from, a genuine member of the dining public giving accurate contact information. In order to verify the nomination a brief interview with the nominator and/or nominated restaurant may be conducted at the discretion of the BCA Panel of Judges.
Nominations will only be accepted where restaurants have at least 50 covers.
All nominated restaurants will be invited to submit an information pack consisting of a current menu, wine list and recent press articles etc (where available). Additional photographic or video materials will be looked on favourably. You may include any information which you feel is relevant to your entry.
An entry form/questionnaire will also be issued for completion by the verified nominated restaurants to assist the BCA Panel of Judges in their deliberations.
Press cuttings or press reviews which are more than three years old will not count.
Press cuttings without valid dates on them will not count.
The judges’ decisions are final.
Winner & Finalist Benefits
If your restaurant is a lucky finalist or regional winner of The British Curry Awards 2008, you will receive:
On-screen listing at the event on 19th October 2008 in front of an expected audience of at least 1,100 guests.
Listing in the event programme/souvenir brochure
Listing in the post-event edition of Spice Business Magazine
Listing in the winners and finalists register on the British Curry Awards website after the event for a period of one year.
Inclusion in the official post-event press releases sent by the organisers of The British Curry Awards to all national press and broadcast media.
Winners will be presented with their award trophy at the gala ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 19th October 2008.
All finalists will receive an embossed official certificate of their status within the British Curry Awards competition for 2008.
All finalists will receive a high-resolution quality logo announcing their status within the British Curry Awards 2008 – eg: “Finalist – British Curry Awards 2008” OR “Winner – British Curry Awards 2008” with the exclusive BCA image. This logo (in its entirety) may be reproduced on the restaurant’s menus, promotional materials, press releases, wine lists, windows etc.
All regional finalists will be invited to participate in a nationwide press promotion offering newspaper readers the chance to visit the nominated restaurants to experience the spice cuisine product. Further details will be sent individually to each restaurant.
